Genesis 2 & 3  JAN 1  2025

So much in this reading. Couple of key notes from the study portion:

God gave Adam responsibility for the garden and told him not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Rather than physically preventing him from eating from the tree, God gave Adam a

CHOICE and thus the responsibility of choosing wrongly.

God still gives us choices and we too often choose wrongly. God wanted Adam to obey him, but God gave Adam the freedom to choose. Without this freedom Adam would have been like a PRISONER and his obedience would have been HOLLOW.

Soooooo many good points in Chapter 3. Whoddathought Genesis would have so much meaning.

And then……

A timely visit from my wonderful hubby while discussing WHY ADAM ATE THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT THAT EVE SINNED 1ST AND ATE.
